His Refuge began in 2020 at the hands of co-founders, Thomas and Gayle Shook. Tom and Gayle serve with EFCA All Peoples Initiative.  They have spent more than 25 years living and working in several countries in Asia. They have had the privilege to bring the message of Christ to many and have experience in community development projects and crisis mitigation. When the refugee crisis began, their desire to help was ignited and His Refuge was born. Tom and Gayle currently reside in Orange County, California. They have three grown children and ten grandchildren.
